Thunder and AWS Partner to Scale AI-Driven Contact Centers
San Francisco-based Thunder has entered a strategic collaboration agreement with Amazon Web Services to accelerate the rollout of AI-powered customer support tools. The partnership aims to move organizations beyond experimental AI, focusing on production-ready deployments that automate voice and digital channels through Amazon Connect and Salesforce.

The collaboration leverages Thunder’s implementation expertise to integrate AWS services, including Amazon Connect Customer and AWS Lambda, into existing enterprise support environments. By shifting toward agentic AI—systems capable of performing tasks rather than just following static scripts—the firms intend to modernize how large-scale companies manage customer engagement.
This partnership follows a successful deployment for Ansira, a global marketing firm that previously struggled with fragmented support systems across its retail and automotive portfolios. Thunder implemented an AI-driven voice assistant that now handles 24/7 requests for over 50 brands, resulting in a 30% reduction in live agent volume. The system allows for rapid scaling, enabling the company to replicate support assistants for new brands in approximately three hours.
"This agreement reflects our focus on helping customers move from AI experimentation into production-ready execution," said Carter Wigell, CEO of Thunder. Brian Remmel, Global Director of Sales and GTM CxE Solutions at AWS, noted that the combination of agentic voice capabilities and Thunder’s consulting work provides a pathway for firms to accelerate AI adoption. The initiative targets enterprises across sectors like manufacturing, travel, and the federal government, aiming to replace traditional scripted interactions with more natural, automated service models.
