MMS Group Expands Monitoring Capabilities with TMI-Orion Acquisition

Parent company MMS Group has finalized its acquisition of TMI-Orion and TMI-USA, integrating the firms into its JRI subsidiary to bolster precision metrology services across North and Latin America. The move combines JRI’s environmental monitoring platforms with TMI’s three decades of experience in extreme-environment validation.

Operating now as JRI TMI and JRI TMI USA, the new entities bring an ANAB-certified metrology lab in Reston, Virginia, into the MMS Group fold. This facility provides local production and aftermarket support for temperature, humidity, and pressure monitoring. According to MMS Group President Pascal Vermeersch, the deal allows the company to offer a unified suite of software and hardware for highly controlled environments.

JRI is leveraging this integration to scale its MySirius platform, which tracks sensitive parameters in healthcare, manufacturing, and distribution. A notable addition to the portfolio is a cleanroom monitoring module designed to integrate with existing sensors, allowing firms to update infrastructure without full hardware replacements. Jim Lehr, JRI’s Business Development Director for North America, noted that the combined expertise helps organizations meet strict regulatory requirements like DSCSA and GDP while preserving existing capital investments.
