Vizbodx Launches Training Academy for Clinical Infrared Imaging

The new initiative addresses a persistent fragmentation in clinician training, where standardized programs for infrared technology have historically been scarce. By offering a curriculum that spans from the scientific foundations of thermography to artificial intelligence-assisted workflows, the academy seeks to ensure that the adoption of thermal imaging remains consistent and scientifically rigorous. The program covers specialized topics such as Thermal Concordance Mapping and practical instruction on the company’s own diagnostic platform, with materials currently available in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Barry Hix, CEO and co-founder, emphasized that the technology is only as effective as the clinicians using it, noting that the academy is designed to foster confidence in integrating these tools into daily practice. The curriculum focuses on three primary pillars: injury prevention, recovery monitoring, and return-to-play decision support. Reinforcing this digital classroom, the newly released Vizbodx Academy Podcast offers supplemental audio lessons on subjects ranging from the history of thermography to viscerocutaneous reflexes. Applications for the program are now being accepted through the company’s online portal.
