BronzeLens Film Festival Returns to Atlanta with Global Focus
The 17th Annual BronzeLens Film Festival anchors itself in Atlanta this August, spanning two weekends of screenings and industry dialogue. Opening with the Horne Brothers’ documentary Love Patrick: Nothing is Impossible, the event highlights a diverse slate of 150 films from over a dozen countries, all centered on creators of color.
The festival, running from August 21–23 and August 27–30, 2026, serves as a platform for underrepresented voices, drawing participants from nations including Ghana, South Africa, Peru, and the United Kingdom. Headquarters for the festivities are established at The Tara Atlanta on Cheshire Bridge Road.
Founder Kathleen Bertrand describes the event as a catalyst for both cinematic exhibition and meaningful connection. The 2026 program features projects involving high-profile talent such as Viola Davis, Jordan Peele, Loretta Devine, Blair Underwood, and T.I. These selections highlight a wide range of narratives, from maternal health documentaries to the cultural origins of trap music.
