Artemis Group Taps Bill Weber to Bridge Space-Defense Funding Gap
Bill Weber, the former CEO of Firefly Aerospace, is taking charge of a new Growth Strategy initiative at The Artemis Group to connect space and defense firms with institutional capital. The move aims to resolve a critical bottleneck for emerging companies struggling to navigate complex investor landscapes and valuation trends.

The initiative targets the intersection of investment theses and capital allocation, offering clients direct access to strategic investors and refined financial messaging. According to Weber, securing consistent funding remains the primary constraint for the next generation of space companies attempting to maintain U.S. industry dominance.
Weber brings a background in both public and private sector leadership to the advisory firm. His career includes a tenure at KeyW Corporation, which culminated in a merger with Jacobs Engineering Group, and a successful $230 million public raise through the SPAC First Light Acquisition Group in 2021. A former U.S. Army Captain and Bronze Star recipient, Weber intends to leverage this experience to help firms translate technical milestones into market-ready value propositions for defense-focused backers.
