Wayne Matlock Sweeps Baja 400 Podium for Polaris

The victory marks the first payout of the Polaris SCORE Challenge, a bounty established in July to incentivize competition by offering $50,000 to any racer who could defeat the factory team and capture the overall title. Matlock’s performance solidified his standing in off-road racing, while the collective sweep demonstrated the platform's dominance in one of the desert's most grueling environments.

Behind the leaders, the RZR Pro R Factory platform proved its versatility beyond factory-backed efforts. Independent racers utilized the same vehicle architecture to secure five of the top ten finishing positions in the race. Alex Scheuerell, Polaris’ Director of Off-Road Motorsports, noted that the results validate the vehicle's durability and the depth of the current field. The team now turns its attention to the Baja 1000, scheduled for November 9-15, to conclude the SCORE season.
