Halfpricesoft Updates ezCheckPrinting to Tighten QuickBooks Security
Redmond-based Halfpricesoft.com has released an upgraded version of its ezCheckPrinting and Virtual Printer combo, targeting QuickBooks users with new administrative password protections. The update aims to minimize internal financial risks by restricting configuration changes to authorized personnel while maintaining streamlined printing workflows for standard staff members.

The latest Version 9 introduces a granular security architecture that separates administrative tasks from routine printing operations. By requiring password verification for modifications to check designs, account details, and setup configurations, the software prevents unauthorized adjustments that often lead to internal accounting errors. This update arrives alongside expanded capacity for high-value transactions, with the maximum payout limit now set at $99,999,999.99.
Beyond security, the software addresses compatibility hurdles for small-to-midsize businesses. The suite is now optimized for Windows 11 and remains fully integrated with QuickBooks Online and the 2024 desktop edition. Dr. Ge, founder of Halfpricesoft.com, emphasized that the tool is designed to pair robust internal controls with hardware-agnostic flexibility. Users can generate checks for bill payments or print blank documents featuring bank-accepted MICR numbers on standard laser printers.
Starting at $149 for a single-user license, the software follows a one-time purchase model that avoids recurring monthly subscription fees. The developer currently offers a free trial for businesses looking to test the integration within their existing financial infrastructure.
