Giraffe Tools Debuts Wall-Mounted GrandFlux Vacuum System

Rowland Heights-based Giraffe Tools is launching the GrandFlux, a wall-mounted vacuum featuring a 40-foot retractable hose that delivers both suction and electrical power. Designed to eliminate the friction of hauling portable shop vacs, the system has already secured over 1,000 paid deposits ahead of its upcoming Founder Access window.

The GrandFlux system simplifies garage and vehicle maintenance by keeping the primary unit stationary while the hose reaches across workspaces. By integrating electricity into the 40-foot hose, the unit powers a brush attachment that agitates embedded debris while simultaneously providing 20 kPa of suction. This corded, continuous power approach aims to bypass the runtime limitations and recharging cycles common with cordless alternatives.

Functionality centers on a three-step cycle: pull, clean, and retract. Once a task is complete, the proprietary SyncRetract system automatically coils the hose back to the wall station, removing the need for manual storage. The unit includes a 5.2-gallon bin and HEPA filtration, with the company emphasizing that the hardware arrives mostly pre-assembled to minimize setup time.

Founder Access for the product begins at 12:00 a.m. ET on September 20 and runs for 48 hours. During this period, the unit is priced at $399.99, a $150 discount from the $549.99 MSRP. Giraffe Tools, which has previously built its portfolio around retractable reels for garden hoses and pressure washers, intends to expand the system’s utility with future attachments, including a floor-washing tool currently in development.
