Treibel, a veteran of the Albuquerque-based firm since 2014, steps into the newly created role to ensure operational continuity while Patterson remains CEO during his military service. Patterson will transition to an enterprise-level position at parent company Radiance Technologies upon his return.

Treibel’s tenure at Verus Research spans over a decade, during which he has held positions ranging from systems engineer to technical director. He has served as COO since 2021. His background includes a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of New Mexico. Radiance Technologies CEO Bill Bailey noted that the leadership shift aims to maintain the company’s trajectory in electromagnetic technology and systems integration research while supporting Patterson’s commitment to national service.
