Signature Aviation Acquires Castle & Cooke Fixed-Base Operation
Signature Aviation has finalized the acquisition of Castle & Cooke Aviation Services, securing a pivotal fixed-base operator site at Van Nuys Airport. This transaction bolsters Signature’s infrastructure in Southern California, positioning the company to capture increased demand from business travelers navigating the Greater Los Angeles region.

The deal was facilitated by the global law firm Greenberg Traurig, which represented the seller, Castle & Cooke, Inc. The move integrates the Van Nuys facility into Signature’s expansive network, strengthening its service capacity at one of the country's most active general aviation hubs.
Legal oversight for the transaction was managed by a cross-office team led by Greenberg Traurig corporate shareholder Joe Awad. The multi-disciplinary group included specialists in tax, antitrust, environmental law, and labor relations, drawing on expertise from firm offices in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Boston, and several other major U.S. markets.
