Oxford Biomedica is centralizing its quality management operations across the U.K., France, and the U.S. by deploying the Veeva Quality Cloud. The move aims to standardize manufacturing processes for its cell and gene therapy business, ensuring consistent regulatory compliance and faster product delivery across its international network.
The contract development and manufacturing organization will transition to a unified digital infrastructure, replacing fragmented systems with Veeva’s integrated platform. By implementing Veeva QualityDocs, QMS, Training, and Learn GxP, the firm intends to automate manual workflows and simplify its technology landscape. This consolidation is designed to provide clients with verified high-quality standards regardless of which global site handles their viral vector manufacturing.
Melanie Kearney, senior vice president and head of global quality at Oxford Biomedica, stated that the platform serves as a foundation for scaling operations while maintaining rigorous governance. For Veeva, the partnership underscores the demand for cloud-based tools that can manage the complexities of advanced therapy manufacturing while simultaneously adapting to shifting global regulatory requirements.
