Rutland Square Spirits Taps Mike Solow to Lead U.S. Expansion
Mike Solow, a founding partner at 99 Proof Partners, will spearhead the U.S. market entry for Edinburgh-based Rutland Square Spirits. The appointment marks a strategic push for the tea-infused spirits producer as it looks to establish distributor networks and secure retail shelf space across the American market.

Solow joins the team with two decades of experience in beverage alcohol growth and scaling, having previously advised over 200 entrepreneurs on strategy. At Rutland Square, he will oversee the commercial build-out alongside Taylor Foxman, who serves as the company's strategic advisor. Founder and CEO Nishant Sharma emphasized that Solow’s background in capital deployment and distributor relations is essential for the brand’s rapid transition into the United States.
Founded in 2021, the company has carved a niche with products like its chai-spiced Oolong white-tea gin and sherry-cask-matured rum. The brand currently operates under the Spiritus platform and holds a valuation of approximately $40 million, supported by an investment from actor and entrepreneur Vivek Oberoi. Solow, based in Boise, Idaho, will now focus on translating the company's Scottish-Indian heritage into a scalable domestic business model.
