Chesapeake Utilities Launches $225 Million Equity Offering Program
Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking to raise up to $225 million through a new at-the-market equity offering program. The Dover-based energy firm plans to sell common stock periodically on the New York Stock Exchange to bolster its capital reserves and fund ongoing corporate operations.

The company intends to leverage its existing shelf registration statement to facilitate the sale of shares through a group of six financial institutions, including Barclays Capital, Morgan Stanley, and RBC Capital Markets. These managers and affiliated forward sellers will oversee the distribution, which may include transactions utilizing forward sale agreements to hedge against market volatility.
Proceeds from the offering are earmarked for general corporate requirements. This includes financing capital expenditures, paying down short-term debt, managing revolving credit facilities, and supporting investments in subsidiaries. Interested parties are encouraged to review the full prospectus supplement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission before participating in the offering.
