Techman Robot Gains First IEC Cybersecurity Certification for AI Cobots
Techman Robot has secured IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 certification for its TM AI Cobot S Series, marking the first time a manufacturer of built-in vision AI cobots has met this industrial cybersecurity standard. The independent assessment by DEKRA validates the company’s ability to protect connected manufacturing environments.
As factories integrate Physical AI, the connectivity between robots, manufacturing systems, and data infrastructure creates new security requirements. Techman Robot relies on its proprietary SEE • THINK • ACT framework to manage this integration, aiming to provide a verified foundation for companies deploying automation at scale.
Chief Operating Officer Scott Huang noted that customers now prioritize long-term operational reliability alongside raw intelligence. By meeting the SL2 certification, the company provides system integrators with a benchmark for evaluating product security. Beyond this milestone, Techman Robot has implemented a lifecycle management system covering vulnerability tracking and security updates, ensuring compliance with evolving standards like the European Union's Cyber Resilience Act.
