Scope Technologies and SurfaceBid Link Measurement to Metal Roofing Bids
Metal roofing contractors can now transition from roof geometry to finalized quotes without manual data entry, following an integration between Scope Technologies and SurfaceBid. The collaboration, debuting at the METALCON trade show in Orlando this week, bridges the gap between aerial measurement reports and complex material take-offs.

The integration connects Scope Technologies’ RoofScope aerial reports and BlueprintScope new-construction data directly into the SurfaceBid estimating platform. By automating the transfer of geometry, the system allows fabricators to generate panel layouts, trim specifications, and fastener requirements directly from verified measurements rather than relying on rough square-foot estimates. This shift aims to reduce rework caused by human error and improve profit margins on projects where geometry discrepancies often compound across material orders.
Jerod Raisch, CEO of Scope Technologies, noted that measurement accuracy only becomes truly transformational when it integrates into the estimating phase. Johnny Drozdek, President of SmartBuild Systems, added that the connection provides teams with a verified path to generate bids that account for specific site needs, including hips, valleys, and waste calculations. The combined workflow is available to users immediately and will be demonstrated at booth 850 during the METALCON event, which runs through October 9, 2026.
