Chris Phillips Appointed Chief Communications Officer at Michael Baker
With over 25 years of experience in corporate communications, Chris Phillips has joined Michael Baker International to steer the firm’s enterprise strategy. She arrives from Bentley Systems to bolster the engineering and consulting company's brand, specifically targeting the intersection of critical infrastructure and digital technology modernization.

Phillips will work directly with the executive leadership team to elevate Michael Baker’s corporate narrative. Her mandate focuses on reinforcing the firm’s reputation as a technology-forward advisor while increasing visibility for its infrastructure projects. Alex Vickers, Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, noted that her background in digital transformation is essential for the firm’s evolution.
Her career includes senior roles at Viasat, E-Space, and Entropic Communications, spanning sectors from satellite services to semiconductor technology. At Bentley Systems, she served as Head of External Communications, managing media relations and thought leadership initiatives. Phillips holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Union College and will now oversee engagement across the firm’s 6,000-person workforce and its 120 office locations.
