Havis Debuts Rugged Docking Stations for Dell Pro 14
Warminster-based Havis has unveiled its new DS-DELL-1300 series docking stations, engineered specifically for the Dell Pro Rugged 14 laptop. The hardware aims to streamline fleet deployments by offering one-handed operation and quad pass-through antenna technology, ensuring consistent connectivity for professionals working in demanding, high-mobility environments.

The new docking hardware centers on a spring-loaded, floating connector head designed to maintain a stable link despite the vibrations and shocks inherent in vehicle-mounted use. By prioritizing mechanical reliability, Havis seeks to reduce the downtime often associated with field-based mobile computing hardware.
Product Manager Josh Parah noted that the design simplifies the transition for existing fleets. The units allow for a quick retrofit, enabling organizations to replace legacy equipment without significant installation delays. Beyond the physical mounting, the quad pass-through antenna integration addresses a common bottleneck in mobile productivity, providing a stronger signal path to keep mission-critical applications online throughout the workday.
