LG Launches UAE Roadshow for its Ultra-Thin Wireless Wallpaper TV
Measuring just under 10 millimeters in depth, LG’s new OLED evo W6 is hitting the road across the UAE. The tech giant is hosting a series of pop-up events at luxury lifestyle venues, inviting residents to experience the wireless display firsthand while offering the chance to win the premium unit.
The tour began at The Lotus Lounge in Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort, where the screen is currently mounted flush against the wall to mimic a high-tech art piece. The W6 relies on LG's proprietary Zero Connect technology, allowing the display to receive lossless 4K video and audio from an AV box located up to 10 meters away, effectively removing all visible cable clutter.
Beyond its thin profile, the unit is powered by the α11 AI Processor 4K Gen3, which handles real-time content upscaling and spatial audio mapping. The screen also supports a 165Hz refresh rate and integrates gaming-focused features like NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium. To combat the bright, open-plan living spaces common in the region, LG has included a reflection-free coating designed to maintain color vibrancy in high-ambient light.
LG is gamifying the rollout via its @lg_gulf Instagram account. By tagging the account and using the hashtag #LGW6spotted after photographing the TV at various secret locations, visitors are entered into a grand draw to win the flagship device. The company will continue to tease upcoming venues throughout the winter season.
