ALLMYNE Backs Award-Winning Film Passengers NYC in Pride Month Push
Two worlds collide in Passengers NYC, a short film by OBIE Award-winning director Dickie Drew Hearts that explores the intersection of Deaf identity and queer love. As the film gains momentum on the international festival circuit, digital travel platform ALLMYNE has stepped in as its lead sponsor to amplify the project’s reach.

The film recently secured three Gold Telly Awards, including honors for Best Directing, Best Editing, and Best DEI Inclusive Content. Beyond these accolades, the project has resonated with audiences at the Seattle Deaf Film Festival and earned multiple nominations at France’s Festival Clin d'Œil. Its recent screening at Austin’s ASL Slam highlighted the film’s central mission: centering American Sign Language and authentic representation for Deaf and LGBTQ+ communities on the global stage.
For director Dickie Drew Hearts, the partnership with ALLMYNE provides the necessary infrastructure to maintain an international tour that often travels to regions where such cinematic representation remains scarce. ALLMYNE CEO Tommie Pegues stated that the collaboration aligns with the company’s focus on purpose-driven travel, utilizing their platform’s tools to document the behind-the-scenes realities of a creative life on the road. Producer Jo-Ann Rita Dean noted that the financial backing was pivotal in achieving the production's high standards, transforming a deeply personal story of human connection into a decorated piece of cinema.
