Globant Deploys AI Synthetic Operator to Automate Live-Stream Monitoring
Even seconds of a black screen or audio dropout can erode viewer trust, yet broadcasters remain tethered to manual, fatigue-prone monitoring workflows. New York-based Globant is attempting to solve this with its newly launched Synthetic Operator, an AI-powered system designed to provide continuous, automated surveillance of live video and audio streams.

The Synthetic Operator functions as an AI Pod that runs alongside human teams, flagging anomalies like freezing, logo errors, and language mismatches that might escape human attention during 24/7 cycles. By automating the repetitive vigilance required for quality assurance, the tool allows personnel to shift their focus toward complex incident response and high-level decision-making. The system also includes intelligent incident management, offering step-by-step resolution paths and automated escalation protocols.
Steven Polster, Global Managing Director for the Media & Entertainment AI Studio at Globant, noted that the technology provides an intelligent layer that never loses focus, allowing teams to direct their expertise toward critical quality calls. Beyond detection, the platform utilizes supervised learning, meaning the models refine their performance based on operational feedback over time. This approach aims to provide a scalable, cost-efficient foundation for broadcasters struggling to maintain service-level agreements across an increasing number of platforms.
