Emily Paquette Joins PLACE to Lead Consumer Growth Strategy
Former Inman CEO Emily Paquette has been named Chief Strategy Officer at PLACE, a real estate technology platform based in Bellingham, Washington. She is tasked with scaling the company’s consumer content ecosystem and overseeing strategic acquisitions to foster long-term engagement with homeowners well beyond the initial property transaction.
Paquette brings over a decade of executive experience in media and marketplace scaling to the role. Her mandate centers on building a comprehensive consumer platform that assists homeowners with maintenance, financing, and asset valuation. By integrating this platform with PLACE’s existing network of lenders, inspectors, and real estate professionals, the company aims to move away from transaction-based interactions toward a lifelong service model.
Co-founder and CEO Ben Kinney noted that the appointment is designed to accelerate the company’s vision of deepening connections with homeowners throughout the entire lifecycle of homeownership. Paquette plans to leverage her background in media leadership to curate content and identify acquisition targets that strengthen the company’s ability to serve users daily, rather than only during buying or selling cycles.
