Ball Corporation Reports Revenue Growth and Higher Q2 Earnings
Ball Corporation reported second-quarter 2026 comparable diluted earnings of $1.03 per share, marking a 14.4% increase over the 90 cents per share recorded during the same period last year. The Westminster-based aluminum packaging giant saw global shipments rise by 4.3% as it continues to execute its long-term financial strategy.

The company posted net earnings of $221 million on $4 billion in sales for the quarter, compared to $212 million on $3.34 billion in revenue in 2025. CEO Ron Lewis attributed the performance to disciplined operational execution and the resilience of the firm’s business model, noting that higher volumes and favorable price mixes helped offset rising costs in several regions. Operating earnings for the second quarter reached $433 million, up from $402 million year-over-year.
Ball is moving forward with a plan to return at least $800 million to shareholders this year through dividends and buybacks. Looking ahead, leadership remains confident in its ability to achieve more than 10% growth in comparable diluted earnings per share for 2026, supported by free cash flow projections exceeding $900 million. The company continues to prioritize investments in sustainable packaging and long-term value creation through its established business system.
