Guarda Wallet Integrates Onramper to Diversify Fiat Access
As the European Union’s MiCA framework reshapes the digital asset landscape, Guarda Wallet has integrated the aggregator Onramper to bypass the volatility of single-provider payment systems. By connecting multiple fiat on-ramps through one interface, the non-custodial wallet aims to maintain service stability despite tightening regional regulatory requirements.

Self-custody users have long faced a paradox: while they maintain total control over private keys, the actual purchase of digital assets depends on third-party payment infrastructure. When a solitary provider halts operations or updates compliance protocols, users are frequently left with no way to acquire tokens. Guarda’s shift toward an aggregator model addresses this bottleneck by automatically evaluating various providers based on a user's location, currency, and chosen payment method.
This integration allows the platform to offer a broader range of payment options, including expanded support for Apple Pay and iOS users. The system presents multiple purchase paths, enabling users to compare transaction limits, processing speeds, and fees before finalizing a trade. While each underlying provider retains its own KYC requirements and compliance standards, the unified interface reduces downtime by ensuring that if one gateway is unavailable or unsupported in a specific region, alternatives remain accessible.
