AMTD IDEA Faces NYSE Delisting Risk After Share Price Slump
AMTD IDEA Group has received formal notification from the New York Stock Exchange that its American depositary shares no longer meet minimum price requirements. The exchange flagged the company after its stock failed to maintain the mandatory US$1.00 closing price threshold over a consecutive 30-day trading period.

Under NYSE Section 802.01C, AMTD IDEA now enters a six-month cure period to rectify the deficiency. To regain compliance, the company must see its ADS price close at or above US$1.00 on the final trading day of any calendar month within this window, while simultaneously maintaining a 30-day average closing price of at least US$1.00. Failure to meet these benchmarks by the end of the six-month term will trigger formal suspension and delisting procedures.
Management stated it is evaluating options to address the price decline and prevent removal from the exchange. The company expressed continued confidence in its long-term business strategy, noting it plans to persist with existing share repurchase programs. As of August 7, 2026, AMTD IDEA has already bought back 4,417,036 of its ADSs.
